In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Kind
Belief in One God is the most important axiom in Islam. The One God, Allah in Arabic, is the Creator of everything. Allah is a living God, the Creator, the Shaper, the Evolver, the Most High, the Exalted, the Perfect. There is none like Him. He has no beginning nor an end. Prophets like Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad performed miracles by the leave of God. May peace and blessings be on all His prophets. It is Allah Who created Adam without parents and Jesus without a father. God is not in need of any other gods, sons or daughters. He begets not, nor is He begotton. His creatures can call on Allah directly and He listens. It is Allah Who sent His final messenger Muhammad fourteen centuries ago as a mercy for the worlds. Our salvation depends on worship of the One God as taught by Muhammad (s.a.a.w.)
The Holy Quran is filled with verses to help us understand God. The following is a collection of verses which contain or imply the words "It is He Who." Some other verses have been added to retain the context. These verses should serve us well in getting to know Him better. Those who know Arabic can enjoy reading these in Arabic a lot better than any translation can do. That is so not only because the original text is in Arabic, but also that the Arabic verses are the words of God which came to prophet Muhammad through angel Jibrael (Gabriel) (peace be on him).
It is He Who is God on Heaven and God on Earth, The Lord
043.084 It is He Who is God in heaven and God on earth; and He is full of Wisdom and Knowledge.
044.008 There is no god but He: It is He Who gives life and gives death,- The Lord and Cherisher to you and your earliest ancestors.
It is Allah Who is the Creator
030.027 It is He Who begins (the process of) creation; then repeats it; and for Him it is most easy. To Him belongs the loftiest similitude (we can think of) in the heavens and the earth: for He is Exalted in Might, full of wisdom.
It is Allah Who Created You
006.098 It is He Who hath produced you from a single person: here is a place of sojourn and a place of departure: We detail Our signs for people who understand.
040.067 It is He Who has created you from dust then from a sperm-drop, then from a leech-like clot; then does he get you out (into the light) as a child: then lets you (grow and) reach your age of full strength; then lets you become old,- though of you there are some who die before;- and lets you reach a Term appointed; in order that ye may learn wisdom.
016.078 It is He Who brought you forth from the wombs of your mothers when ye knew nothing; and He gave you hearing and sight and intelligence and affections: that ye may give thanks (to God).
(2:21) O Mankind, submit to your Lord Who created you and those who were before you; in this way only you may expect to save yourselves.
023.078 It is He Who has created for you (the faculties of) hearing, sight, feeling and understanding: little thanks it is ye give!
025.054 It is He Who has created man from water: then has He established relationships of lineage and marriage: for thy Lord has power (over all things).
064.002 It is He Who has created you; and of you are some that are Unbelievers, and some that are Believers: and God sees well all that ye do.
It is Allah Who Made you His vicegerents on earth
006.165 It is He Who hath made you (His) agents, inheritors of the earth: He hath raised you in ranks, some above others: that He may try you in the gifts He hath given you: for thy Lord is quick in punishment: yet He is indeed Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
It is Allah Who Created the Earth, Skies and Heavens, ...
(2:22) It is He Who has made the earth a bed for you and the sky a canopy; and it is He Who sends down rain from above for the growth of every kind of food products for your sustenance. So, when you know this, you should not set up equals to rank with Allah.
(2:29) He it is Who created for you all that there is on the Earth; He then turned to the sky and ordered it into seven heavens. And He has full knowledge of everything.
[It is difficult to explain precisely what is meant by the 'seven heavens'. In all ages man has tried, with the help of observation and speculation, to conceptualize the 'heavens', i.e. that which lies beyond and above the earth. As we well know, the concepts that have thus developed have constantantly changed. Hence it would be improper to tie the meaning of these words of the Qur'an to any one of these numerous concepts. What might be broadly inferred from this statement is that either God has divided the universe beyond the earth into seven distinct spheres, or that this earth is located in that part of the universe which consists of seven different spheres.]
006.073 It is He Who created the heavens and the earth in true (proportions): the day He saith, "Be," behold! it is. His word is the truth. His will be the dominion the day the trumpet will be blown. He knoweth the unseen as well as that which is open. For He is the Wise, well acquainted (with all things).
010.005 It is He Who made the sun to be a shining glory and the moon to be a light (of beauty), and measured out stages for her; that ye might know the number of years and the count (of time). Nowise did God create this but in truth and righteousness. (Thus) doth He explain His Signs in detail, for those who understand.
021.033 It is He Who created the Night and the Day, and the sun and the moon: all (the celestial bodies) swim along, each in its rounded course.
025.053 It is He Who has let free the two bodies of flowing water: One palatable and sweet, and the other salt and bitter; yet has He made a barrier between them, a partition that is forbidden to be passed.
067.015 It is He Who has made the earth manageable for you, so traverse ye through its tracts and enjoy of the Sustenance which He furnishes: but unto Him is the Resurrection.
It is Allah Who Sends the Winds, Rain, Gives you Vegetations of All Kinds
006.099 It is He Who sendeth down rain from the skies: with it We produce vegetation of all kinds: from some We produce green (crops), out of which We produce grain, heaped up (at harvest); out of the date-palm and its sheaths (or spathes) (come) clusters of dates hanging low and near: and (then there are) gardens of grapes, and olives, and pomegranates, each similar (in kind) yet different (in variety): when they begin to bear fruit, feast your eyes with the fruit and the ripeness thereof. Behold! in these things there are signs for people who believe.
006.141 It is He Who produceth gardens, with trellises and without, and dates, and tilth with produce of all kinds, and olives and pomegranates, similar (in kind) and different (in variety): eat of their fruit in their season, but render the dues that are proper on the day that the harvest is gathered. But waste not by excess: for God loveth not the wasters.
007.057 It is He Who sendeth the winds like heralds of glad tidings, going before His mercy: when they have carried the heavy-laden clouds, We drive them to a land that is dead, make rain to descend thereon, and produce every kind of harvest therewith: thus shall We raise up the dead: perchance ye may remember.
It is Allah Who sent down Holy Books
003.003 It is He Who sent down to thee (step by step), in truth, the Book, confirming what went before it; and He sent down the Law (of Moses) and the Gospel (of Jesus) before this, as a guide to mankind, and He sent down the criterion (of judgment between right and wrong).
It is Allah Who sent His Apostle Muhammad (s.a.a.w.)
009.033 It is He Who hath sent His Apostle (Muhammad) with guidance and the Religion of Truth, to proclaim it over all religion, even though the Pagans may detest (it).
048.028 It is He Who has sent His Apostle with Guidance and the Religion of Truth, to proclaim it over all religion: and enough is God for a Witness.
048.029 Muhammad is the apostle of God; and those who are with him are strong against Unbelievers, (but) compassionate amongst each other. Thou wilt see them bow and prostrate themselves (in prayer), seeking Grace from God and (His) Good Pleasure. On their faces are their marks, (being) the traces of their prostration. This is their similitude in the Taurat; and their similitude in the Gospel is: like a seed which sends forth its blade, then makes it strong; it then becomes thick, and it stands on its own stem, (filling) the sowers with wonder and delight. As a result, it fills the Unbelievers with rage at them. God has promised those among them who believe and do righteous deeds forgiveness, and a great Reward.
061.009 It is He Who has sent His Apostle with Guidance and the Religion of Truth, that he may proclaim it over all religion, even though the Pagans may detest (it).
062.002 It is He Who has sent amongst the Unlettered an apostle from among themselves, to rehearse to them His Signs, to sanctify them, and to instruct them in Scripture and Wisdom,- although they had been, before, in manifest error;-
062.003 As well as (to confer all these benefits upon) others of them, who have not already joined them: And He is exalted in Might, Wise.
062.004 Such is the Bounty of God, which He bestows on whom He will: and God is the Lord of the highest bounty.
It is Allah Alone Who has power over all things
005.123 To God doth belong the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is therein, and it is He Who hath power over all things.
It is Allah Alone Who Gives Life and Death
010.056 It is He Who gives life and who takes it, and to Him shall ye all be brought back.
030.019 It is He Who brings out the living from the dead, and brings out the dead from the living, and Who gives life to the earth after it is dead: and thus shall ye be brought out (from the dead).
006.060 It is He Who doth take your souls by night, and hath knowledge of all that ye have done by day: by day doth He raise you up again; that a term appointed be fulfilled; In the end unto Him will be your return; then will He show you the truth of all that ye did.
022.066 It is He Who gave you life, will cause you to die, and will again give you life: Truly man is a most ungrateful creature!
040.068 It is He Who gives Life and Death; and when He decides upon an affair, He says to it, "Be", and it is.
It is Allah Alone Who Guides you
006.097 It is He Who maketh the stars (as beacons) for you, that ye may guide yourselves, with their help, through the dark spaces of land and sea: We detail Our signs for people who know.

7 Reasons to Read the Glorious Qur'an
7 Reasons to Read the Glorious Qur'an
1. Inimitable It dares you to disprove it. How? It says that humans cannot write a book like this even if they pooled all their resources together and got help also from the spirits. The Qur'an said this fourteen hundred years ago and yet no one has been able to disprove it. BiIIions of books have been written -but not another one like the Qur'an.
2. Incorruptible It is the only religious sacred writing that has been in circulation for such along time and yet remains as pure as it was in the beginning. The Qur'an was kept intact. Nothing was added to it; nothing was changed in it; and nothing was taken away from it ever since its revelation was completed 1400 hundred years ago.
3. Unsurpassable The Qur'an is God's final revelation to humankind. God revealed the Torah to Moses, the Psalms to David, the Gospel to Jesus, and finally the Qur'an to Muhammad. Peace be upon Moses, David, Jesus and Muhammad. No other book will come from God to surpass His final revelation.
4. Indisputable The Qur'an withstands the test of time and scrutiny. No one can disput the truth of this book. It speaks about past history and turns out right. It speaks about the future in prophecies and it turns out right. It mentions details of physical phenomena which were not known to people at the time; yet later scientific discoveries prove that the Qur'an was right all along. Every other book needs to be revised to accord with modem knowledge. The Qur'an alone is never contradicted by a newly discovered scientific fact.
5. Your Roadmap for Life and Afterlife The Qur'an is the best guidebook on how to structure your life. No other book presents such a comprehensive system involving all aspects of human life and endeavor. The Qur'an also points out the way to secure everlasting happiness in the afterlife. It is your roadmap showing how to get to Paradise.
6. God's Gift of Guidance God has not left you alone. You were made for a reason. God tells you why he made you, what he demands from you and what he has in store for you. If you operate a machine contrary to- it's manufacturer's specification you will ruin 'that machine. What. about you? Do you have an owner's manual for yourself? The Qur'an is from your Maker. It is a gift for you to make sure you function for success, lest you fail to function. It is a healing from God. It satisfies the soul, and cleans the heart. It removes doubts and brings peace.
7.Your Calling Card to Communicate with your Lord Humans are social creatures. We love to communicate with other intelligent life. The Qur'an tells us how to communicate .with the source of all intelligence and the source of all life-the One God. The Qur'an tells us who God is, by what name we should address Him, and the way in which to communicate with Him. Are these not seven sufficient points for reading the Qur'an?

Al Quran Benefits and Rewards
This article is a collection of Quranic verses, Ahadeeth (Prophet’s Saying) and sayings of the salaf (pious people that followed the prophet) on the majesty of Quran, the great virtues for reading and following it.
1. Quran on Quran
To begin with, there are many verses in the Quran itself that underscore the majesty of Allah’s verses and the Quran itself –
Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):
Say: ‘If the mankind and the jinn were together to produce the like of this Quran, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they helped one another’”[Quran Al-Israa’ 17:88]
Had We sent down this Quran on a mountain, you would surely have seen it humbling itself and rending asunder by the fear of Allah. Such are the parables which We put forward to mankind that they may reflect. [Quran Al-Hashr 59:21]
“This is the Book (the Quran), whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqoon [the pious] [Quran Al-Baqarah 2:2]
2. The Rewards of Reciting Quran in Qiyaam Al-Layl (Night prayers before Fajr)
We all know from the Quran and the Ahadeeth about the countless rewards and benefits of praying and reciting Quran during the nightly prayers (last one third of the night)
As is stated in the hadeeth narrated by ‘Abd-Allah ibn ‘Amr ibn al-‘Aas (may Allah be pleased with them both), in which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
Whoever recites ten aayaat (verses) in qiyaam will not be recorded as one of the forgetful. Whoever recites a hundred aayaat (verses) in qiyaam will be recorded as one of the devout, and whoever prays a thousand aayaat (verses) in qiyaam will be recorded as one of the muqantareen (those who pile up good deeds).” (Reported by Abu Dawood and Ibn Hibbaan. It is a hasan report. Saheeh al-Targheeb, 635).
Imaam al-Bukhaari used to pray qiyaam and tahajjud at night until the time of suhoor, and he would read between a half and a third of the Quran, and complete it at suhoor every third night.
3. Reciting Quran in Ramadan
Quran has even more of an important significance in the month of Ramadan, the month of fasting.
Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):
The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong) [Quran al-Baqarah 2:185]
Jibreel used to come to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) every night in Ramadaan, and study the Quran with him. Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5; Muslim, 4268.
Hence the salaf used to read Quran a great deal during Ramadan, following the example of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Qataadah (may Allah have mercy on him) used to complete the Quran every seven nights all the time, and every three nights in Ramadaan, and every two nights during the last ten days of Ramadaan.
Ibraaheem al-Nakha’i used to complete the Quran in Ramadaan every three nights, and in the last ten days every two nights.
4. General Rewards of Reciting Quran
The rewards of reciting the Quran are many. An authentic hadith in At-Tirmithee states:
Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah, he will have a reward. And that reward will be multiplied by ten. I am not saying that “Alif, Laam, Meem” is a letter, rather I am saying that “Alif” is a letter, “laam” is a letter and “meem” is a letter.” So increase your recitation of the Qur’an to gain these merits, and to gain the following merit as well.
In another hadeeth, ‘Aa’ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, relates that the Prophet (sallAllahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said:
Verily the one who recites the Qur’an beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, he will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels. And as for the one who recites with difficulty, stammering or stumbling through its verses, then he will have TWICE that reward.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
This hadith proves that people who are not well versed in the Arabic languge or have other difficulties in reciting the Quran, get even a higher reward for reciting the Quran in Arabic for their extra effort.
5. Quran as intercessor in the day of judgment
The Prophet said:
The Qur’an is an intercessor, something given permission to intercede, and it is rightfully believed in. Whoever puts it in front of him, it will lead him to Paradise; whoever puts it behind him, it will steer him to the Hellfire.” [An authentic hadith found in At-Tabaraanee, on the authority of ‘Abdullaah ibn Mas’ood]
6. Benefits of reciting certain Quranic surahs (chapters)
The following are authentic Ahadeeth regarding the benefits of certain Soorahs.
It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
There is a soorah of the Quran containing thirty verses which have interceded for a man until he was forgiven. It is the soorah Tabaarak alladhi bi yadihi’l-mulk. Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2891; Ahmad, 7634; Abu Dawood, 1400; Ibn Maajah, 3786. This hadeeth was classed as hasan by al-Tirmidhi and by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi, 3/6.
Regarding the healing power of The S?rah al-F?tiha
It was narrated that Abu Sa’eed (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “A group of the companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) set out on a journey and traveled until they stopped in (the land of) one of the Arab tribes. They asked them for hospitality but they refused to welcome them. The chief of that tribe was stung by a scorpion and they tried everything but nothing helped them. Some of them said, ‘Why don’t you go to those people who are camped (near us), maybe you will find something with them.’ So they went to them and said, ‘O people, our chief has been stung by a scorpion and we have tried everything but nothing helped him. Can any of you do anything?’ One of them said, ‘Yes, by Allah, I will recite ruqyah for him, but by Allah we asked you for hospitality and you did not welcome us, so I will not recite ruqyah for you until you give us something in return.’ Then they agreed upon a flock of sheep.’ Then he went and spat drily and recited over him Al-hamdu Lillaahi Rabb il-‘Aalameen [Soorat al-Faatihah]. (The chief) got up as if he was released from a chain and started walking, and there were no signs of sickness on him. They paid them what they agreed to pay. Some of them (i.e. the companions) then suggested to divide their earnings among themselves, but the one who performed the ruqyah said, ‘Do not divide them until we go to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and tell him what happened, then wait and see what he tells us to do.’ So they went to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and told him what had happened. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, ‘How did you know that it (al-Faatihah) is a ruqyah?’ Then he added, ‘You have done the right thing. Share out (the flock of sheep) and give me a share too.’ And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) smiled.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 2156; Muslim, 2201
A note about certain fabricated Ahadeeths narrating the benefits of some Quran Soorahs
Although there are authentic Ahadeeth regarding the rewards and benefits of reciting certain Quranic Soorahs, unfortunately there are even more fabricated Ahadeeth that highlight the benefits of other Soorahs. Therefore, not all Ahadeeth highlighting the benefits of reciting all Soorahs are authentic, even though some of those Ahadeeth mention a chain of narrators. Many scholars have proven the weakness of the narration chain of those Ahadeeth. As quoted at islam-qa.com, “Many ahaadeeth were fabricated about the virtues of various soorahs of the Quran. Their fabricators’ intention was to encourage people to read Quran and devote themselves to that, and they claimed that they were doing good thereby. But their intentions were misguided because that is undoubtedly subject to the stern warning contained in the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): “Whoever tells a lie about me deliberately, let him take his place in Hell.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 10; Muslim, 4. It makes no difference whether the lie is intended for good or for evil.”
7. A Muslim’s Status is Raised by the Quran
A Musilm’s status is raised by the Quran - the more he recites, follows its commandments and makes Quran part of his or her life, the more Allah will elevate his or her status in this life and hereafter.
Saheeh Muslim mentions a story where some men came to question Umar ibn Al-Khattaab during his khilaafah about the leadership of Makkah, they asked, “Who do you use to govern Makkah?” He said, “Ibn Abzaa.” They asked, “And who is Ibn Abzaa?” Umar replied, “A freed slave from those we freed.” They remarked, “You left a freed slave in charge of the people of the Valley (the noble tribes of the Quraysh)!?!?” So he answered them, “Verily he is a reader of the Book of Allah and is knowledgeable about the obligations of the Muslims. Haven’t you heard the statement of your Messenger: “Verily Allah raises some people by this Book and lowers others by it.”
‘Uthmaan, may Allah be pleased with him, said that the Prophet (sallAllahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said:
The best of you are the ones who learn the Qur’an and teach it to others” [Al-Bukhari]
Narrated Aisha: The Prophet said,
Such a person who recites the Quran and masters it by heart, will be with the noble righteous scribes (in Heaven). And such a person exerts himself to learn the Quran by heart, and recites it with great difficulty, will have a double reward." (book #60, Hadith #459)
8. Healing Power of The Quran
Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):
And We send down of the Quran that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism and act on it), and it increases the Zaalimoon (polytheists and wrongdoers) nothing but loss” [Quran Al-Isra’ 17:82]
Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
We and others have tried this on many occasions and we have seen that it works in ways that physical remedies do not. Indeed we now regard physical medicine as the doctors regard folk medicine. This is in accordance with the law of divine wisdom, not contrary to it, but the causes of healing are many and varied. When the heart is in contact with the Lord of the Worlds, the Creator of the disease and the remedy, the Controller of nature Who directs it as He wills, he has other remedies apart from the remedies that are sought by the heart that is far away from Him and that turns away from Him. It is known that when a person’s spirits are high and his body is in good shape, they cooperate in warding off disease and suppressing it, so if a person is in high spirits and physical good shape, finds comfort in being close to his Creator, loving Him, enjoying remembrance of Him (dhikr), devoting all his strength and power for His sake and focusing on Him, seeking His help, putting his trust in Him, how can anyone deny that this is the greatest medicine or that this spiritual power gives him the means to ward off pain and defeat it completely? No one would deny this but the most ignorant of people, those who are furthest away from Allah and the most hard-hearted and unaware of human nature.
It is well known in the Shareeah regarding the use of Ruqyah for physical and spiritual healing. “Ruqyah” is an incantation or prayer for healing – usually from the Quran or Dua prescribed by the Prophet (SAWS). Ruqyah is one of the greatest remedies that the believer should use regularly. The greatest of Ruqyah are Soorah al-Faatihah and al-Mi’wadhatayn ( the last two surahs of the Quran – Surah Al-Falaq and Surah Al-nas). There is nothing wrong with the Muslim reciting ruqyah for himself. That is permissible; indeed it is a good Sunnah, for the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited ruqyah for himself, and some of his companions recited ruqyah for themselves. (islam-qa.com)
It was narrated that ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) said:
When the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was ill, he would recite al-Mi’wadhatayn over himself and spit drily. When his pain grew intense, I recited over him and wiped him with his own hand, seeking its barakah (blessing).” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 4728; Muslim, 2192 (al-Mi’wadhatayn are the last two surahs of the Quran – Surah Al-Falaq and Surah Al-nas)
9. Virtues of reciting the Quran
Narrated Abu Musa: The Prophet said,
The example of a believer who recites the Qur’an is that of a citron (a citrus fruit) which is good in taste and good in smell. And the believer who does not recite the quran is like a date which has a good taste but no smell. And the example of an impious person who recites the Qur’an is that of Ar-Rihana (an aromatic plant) which smells good but is bitter in taste. And the example of an impious person who does not recite the quran is that of a colocynth which is bitter in taste and has no smell." (Book #93, Hadith # 649)
10. Dispelling worries and regret
Ibn al-Qayyim summed fifteen ways through which Allah may dispel worries and regret. In describing one of the ways, he mentions (ref: http://www.islam-qa.com/en/ref/22704/healing)
Letting one’s heart wander in the garden of the Quran, seeking consolation in it from every calamity, seeking healing in it from all diseases of the heart, so that it will bring comfort to his grief and healing for his worries and distress.
One of the means of treating them is mentioned in the saheeh hadeeth from Ibn Mas’ood (may Allah be pleased with him):
There is no-one who is afflicted by distress and grief, and says: (O Allah, I am Your slave, son of Your slave, son of Your maidservant; my forelock is in Your hand, Your command over me is forever executed and Your decree over me is just. I ask You by every name belonging to You which You have named Yourself with, or revealed in Your Book, or You taught to any of Your creation, or You have preserved in the knowledge of the Unseen with You, that You make the Quran the life of my heart and the light of my breast, and a departure for my sorrow and a release for my anxiety),’ but Allah will take away his distress and grief, and replace it with joy.” This is one of the remedies prescribed in sharee’ah. (The original Dua in Arabic is: ‘Allahumma inni ‘abduka ibn ‘abdika ibn amatija naasyati bi yadika, maada fiyya hukmuka, ‘adlun fiyya qadaa’uka. As’aluka bi kulli ismin huwa laka sammayta bihi nafsaka aw anzaltahu fi kitaabika aw ‘allamtahu ahadan min khalqika aw ista’tharta bihi fi ‘ilm il-ghayb ‘indaka an taj’al al-Qurana rabee’ qalbi wa noor sadri wa jalaa’ huzni wa dhihaab hammi
Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):
Those who believe [in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism], and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah, verily, in the remembrance of f Allah do hearts find rest. (Qur ‘an 13: 28)

The Word "EVERYTHING" and its relationship to the Mathematical Miracle of the Quran
The Word "EVERYTHING" and its relationship to the Mathematical Miracle of the Quran
God used the expression "everything" , in relation to His attributes, actions or provision in the Quran 114 times. This expression is a reflection of every aspect in our universe that is under control by Almighty God. A close study of the use of the expression "everything" in the verses in the Quran will clarify this use and its number. The expression EVERYTHING is used in the Arabic Quran in relation to God, His action, and attributes, 114 times, the same number of suras in the Quran.
Although this understanding is relatively subjective to the individual's understanding of these verses and the use of the expression "everything" in it, it can be seen and understood by the sincere student of the Quran as 114 times use in relation to God. As the system goes, God always leaves a space open for those who do not want to see it this way and they may see other numbers but 114. My observation is individual and goes with 114 times. This expression is VERY important as we will see in the number and manner of its use in the Quran. See the next example of verses that talk about EVERYTHING. THEN SEE the GEMATRICAL VALUE OF THE expression, EVERYTHING to know its significance. Let us start with 72:28 and 78:29
[72:28] This is to ascertain that they have delivered their Lord's messages. He is fully aware of what they have. He has counted the numbers of EVERYTHING (all things.) 7+2+2+8=19
78:29 We counted EVERYTHING in a record.
[2:29] He is the One who created for you EVERYTHING on earth, then turned to the sky and perfected seven universes therein,* and He is fully aware of all things.
[2:77] Do they not know that GOD knows EVERYTHING they conceal, and EVERYTHING they declare?
[2:116] They said, "GOD has begotten a son!" Be He glorified; never! To Him belongs EVERYTHING in the heavens and the earth; all are subservient to Him.
[2:233] ...... You shall observe GOD, and know that GOD is Seer of EVERYTHING you do.
[2:234] ....... GOD is fully Cognizant of EVERYTHING you do.
[2:255] GOD: there is no other god besides Him, the Living, the Eternal. Never a moment of unawareness or slumber overtakes Him. To Him belongs EVERYTHING in the heavens and EVERYTHING on earth. ...
[3:98] Say, "O followers of the scripture, why do you reject these revelations of GOD, when GOD is witnessing EVERYTHING you do?"
[3:120] ..... GOD is fully aware of EVERYTHING they do.
[5:97] ....... You should know that GOD knows EVERYTHING in the heavens and the earth, and that GOD is Omniscient.
[10:21] ..... For our messengers are recording EVERYTHING you scheme."
[10:46] ...... GOD witnesses EVERYTHING they do.
[14:2] (The path of) GOD; the One who possesses EVERYTHING in the heavens and EVERYTHING on earth. Woe to the disbelievers; they have incurred a terrible retribution.
[16:49] To GOD prostrates EVERYTHING in the heavens and EVERYTHING on earth - every creature - and so do the angels; without the least arrogance.*
[18:8] Inevitably, we will wipe out EVERYTHING on it, leaving it completely barren.*
[25:2] The One to whom belongs all sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. He never had a son, nor does He have any partners in sovereignty. He created EVERYTHING in exact measure; He precisely designed EVERYTHING.*
[27:88] .... Such is the manufacture of GOD, who perfected EVERYTHING. He is fully Cognizant of EVERYTHING you do.
[45:13] He committed in your service EVERYTHING in the heavens and the earth; all from Him. These are proofs for people who reflect.
[87:7 ] EVERYTHING is in accordance with GOD's will; He knows what is declared, and what is hidden.
The Gematrical value of the Arabic words "EVERYTHING" is 361 which is 19 X 19.
God insists that EVERYTHING= 19 X 19 and read the verses above again to see the significance of that " EVERYTHING", even when HE counted EVERYTHING, it was 19 X 19. This gives number 19 a great significance.

Iron - Nasa testifies to the miracle of the Quran.
Professor Armstrong works at NASA, otherwise known as the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, where he is a well-known scientist here. He was asked about Iron and how it was formed. He explained how all the elements in the earth were formed. He stated that the scientists have come only recently to discover the relevant facts about that formation process. He said that the energy of the early solar system was not sufficient to produce elemental Iron. In calculating the energy required to form one atom of iron, it was found to be about four times as much as the energy of the entire solar system. In other words, the entire energy of the earth or the moon or the planet Mars or any other planet is not sufficient to form one new atom of iron, even the energy of the entire solar system is not sufficient for that. That is why Professor Armstrong said that the scientists believe that iron is an extraterrestrial that was sent to earth and not formed therein.
Now compare that to the Qur'aanic verse saying:
[57:25]
We sent our messengers supported by clear proofs, and we sent down to them the scripture and the law, that the people may uphold justice. And we sent down the iron, wherein there is strength, and many benefits for the people. All this in order for GOD to distinguish those who would support Him and His messengers, on faith. GOD is powerful, Almighty.
Notice the word SENT DOWN and also notice that IRON was the only kind of metal mentioned by name as sent down, in the Qur'an and has a whole sura entitled THE IRON or Al Hadeed.
Now compare that to the Qur'aanic verse saying:
[57:25]
We sent our messengers supported by clear proofs, and we sent down to them the scripture and the law, that the people may uphold justice. Quran-The 19th and Final Scripture
Researched by : A. Muhammad
We are told in the Quran that the prophets of God are sent with the Scripture:
"The people used to be one community when God sent the prophets as bearers of good news, as well as warners. He sent down with them the Scripture, bearing the truth, to judge among the people in their disputes" 2:213 (also confirmed in 3:81)
The term 'Scripture' is consistantly associated with 'prophets' in the Quran.
If we count the number of prophets named in the Quran we find a total of twenty prophets mentioned by their names. Each one of these 20 is specifically called a prophet in the Quran.
If we read verses 83-86 of Sura 6 we read 18 names, starting with Abraham and ending with Lot. Verse 89 confirms that all these 18 were prophets of God:
"These are the ones to whom we have given the Scripture wisdom and prophethood"
These prophets are:
1- Abraham (also named as a prophet in 19:41 and 33:7)
2- Isaac (also in 19:49 and 37:112)
3- Jacob (also in 19:49)
4- Noah (also in 33:7)
5- David (also in 17:55)
6- Solomon
7- Job
8- Joseph
9- Moses (lso in 19:51 and 33:7)
10- Aaron (also in 19:53)
11- Zachariah
12- John (also in 3:39)
13- Jesus (also in 19:30 and 33:7)
14- Elias
15- Ismail (19:54)
16- Elisha
17- Jonah
18- Lot
If we add the names of the two prophets:
19- Idris (named a prophet in 19:56)
20- Muhammad (who is confirmed to be the last of the prophets (33:40)
We find that the total number of those who are named as prophets in the Quran is 20
However we are told that that the two prophets Moses and Aaron received the same Scripture. The Statute book was given to both Moses and Aaron (37:117 and 21:48), therefore the total number of Scripture given to the 20 prophets is 19. This means that the Quran, besides being the last Scripture, is also the 19th Scripture delivered through the 20 prophets mentioned in the Quran.
We note that there are others spoken of in the Quran, but not as prophets, nor as deliverers of Scripture, they are:
Adam (described as one of the chosen 3:33 …….. not associated with the word messenger or prophet)
Hud, Saleh, and Shu 'aib (named as messengers in 26:125/ 143/ 178 respectively)
Zal-Kifl (described as steadfast, patient and righteous 21:85 and 38:48)
Luqman (described as one endowed with wisdom 31:12)
Nowhere in the Quran is any of these messengers associated with the term 'Scripture'. Non of them delivered a Scripture. Thus according to the definition of 2:213 they are not prophets. Three of the six are called messengers (Hud, Saleh, and Shu'aib) while the other three (Adam, Zal-Kifl and Luqman) are only spoken of as receiving God's blessings.
We note that the Quran informs us that God has sent other messengers in the past that we are not told about in the Quran:
"We have sent messengers before you, some of them we mentioned to you, and some We did not mention to you." 40:78 (also 4:164)
However, it is indeed of interest to note that the only two verses that assert that fact (40:78 and 4:164), both speak of messengers and not of prophets.
This confirms that God Almighty has sent to mankind 19 Scripture.
The Quran is the 19th
and Final Scripture.
All Praise to Almighty God
We are told in the Quran that the prophets of God are sent with the Scripture:

Mathematical proof that Al Quran is the word of God
For the first time in history, we have a built-in proof that the Quran is the unaltered, original and complete word of God. A proof that is verifiable by anyone. So powerful is the proof, that in a few generations it will become obvious, that any religion or any group of people, which advocates faith, as a pre-requisite or basis for belief will immediately be exposed as a false religion. Since we now have proof, blind faith is no longer valid.
"You shall not accept any information, unless you verify it for
yourself. I have given you the hearing, the eyesight, and the
brain, and you are responsible for using them." (17:36)
The mathematical structure of the Quran was discovered by Dr. Rashad Khalifa, an Egyptian born American biochemist, in the 1970's. Dr. Khalifa, started translating the Quran into English with the determination to find an explanation for the mysterious initials prefixing 29 Suras. He initiated an extensive research on these initials (for example: the Arabic letter "Qaaf" in Suras 42 and 50), after placing the Quranic text of the initialed Suras into a computer. His objective was to find a mathematical pattern which would explain the significance of the initials, although he had no idea where and what to look for. After several years of research, Dr. Khalifa published his first results in a book entitled MIRACLE OF THE QURAN, Significance of the Mysterious Alphabets (Islamic Productions), in 1973. It was in 1974 that Dr. Khalifa discovered that there was a common denominator in the initials and throughout the Quran - the number 19. Subsequently Dr. Khalifa published, THE COMPUTER SPEAKS: GOD'S MESSAGE TO THE WORLD (Renaissance Productions, 1981), QURAN: Visual Presentation of the Miracle (Islamic Productions, 1982); and the translation of the Quran in English (Islamic Productions, 1989). All these publications are good tools to verify the mathematical structure. (The books can be ordered from ICS, PO Box 43476, Tucson, Az 85733-3476).
SOME SIMPLE FACTS
1. The first verse (1:1), "Basmalah" consists of 19 Arabic letters.
2. Each of the four Arabic words of "Basmalah" are repeated in the Quran in multiples of 19 in numbered verses.
The first word..."Ism" (Name).....occurs...19 times
The second word.."Allah" (God)....occurs...2698 times (19x142).
The third word..."Al-Rahman" (Most Gracious)...57 times (19x3)
The fourth word.."Raheem" (Most Merciful)..114 times (19x6)
The above can be verified by the following:
A. In the Concordance of the Quran by Abdul Baqy on page 362 the word ISM is listed with 19 occurrences. The peculiar spelling of the word ISM as BISM is repeated in the Quran three times in verses 1:1, 27:30 & 11:41. (1+1+27+30+11+41 + number of occurrences 3 =114 or 19x6)
B. The count of the word ALLAH can best be verified by Dr. Rashad Khalifa's translation of the Quran which carries the cumulative total occurrences of ALLAH on each page. Abdul Baqy gets the same count when the numbered verse 1:1 is included in his count.
C. On page 307 on Abdul Baqy's concordance we find AL REHMAN to be 57 as total occurrences.
D. The word AL RAHEEM is listed on page 307 as occurring 95 times, while RAHEEM is listed on page 309 as occurring as 20 times. The total occurrence is 114 (95 -1 + 20 = 114). AL RAHEEM in verse 9:128 is not counted (Note: verses 9:128 & 129 were falsely injected into the Quran after the death of the prophet. The subject will be discussed in another topic).
3. The Quran consists of 114 suras, which is ...19 x 6
4. The total number of verses in the Quran is 6346, or ..19x334.
6346 is the total of 6234 numbered verses and 112 un-numbered verses (Basmalah)
Also 6 + 3 + 4 + 6 = 19
5. From the missing Basmalah in sura 9 to the extra Basmalah in sura 27, there are precisely 19 suras.
6. The first revelation (96:1-5) consists of 19 words and 76 letters (19 x 4)
7. First sura revealed (sura 96) consists of 19 verses and 304 Arabic letters (19 x 16).
8. The Quran mentions 30 different numbers.(Eg: 300 & 9 in verse 18:25). The sum of the 30 numbers is 162,146 or 19 x 8534.
9. The sum of all verse numbers where God "Allah" is mentioned is 118,123 or 19 x 6,217.
QURANIC INITIALS
There are 29 suras in the Quran with prefixed initials. All the initials are linked to the common denominator - 19.
"Q" (Qaaf) is initialed in suras 42 and 50. In both the suras,"Q" is repeated 57 times or 19 x 3.
"Nun" (Noon) is initialed in sura 68 and the name of the letter is spelled out as - "noon wow noon" - in the original text. The total count of "Nun" is 133 or 19 x 7.
"S" (Saad) is initialed in suras, 7, 19, 38, and the total occurrence in the three suras is 152 or 19 x 8.
"Y.S" (Ya Seen). These two letters are prefixed in Sura 36 and the total occurrence for both of them is 285 or 19 x 15.
"H.M" (Ha Mim). These letters prefix suras 40 through 46 and their total occurrence in the seven "H.M" initialed suras is 2147 or 19 x 113.
"`A.S.Q" ('Ayn Seen Qaf). These initials constitute Verse 2 of sura 42 and are repeated in the sura 209 or 19 x 11 times.
"A.L.M" (Alef Laam Mim). These most frequently used letters in the Arabic language are prefixed in six suras - 2, 3, 29, 30, 31 and 32 and the total occurrence of the three letters in each of the six suras in 9899 (19x521), 5662 (19x298), 1672 (19x88),1254 (19x66), 817 (19x43) and 570 (19x30) respectively.
All other Quranic initials, without exception, show similar patterns of being multiples of 19.
GEMATRICAL VALUE
When the Quran was revealed, 14 centuries ago, the numbers known today did not exist. Alphabets of Arabic, Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek languages were used as numerals with a value for each alphabet. For example, "alef" had a value of 1, "wow" had a value of 6, etc. The total sum of the 19 letters of "Basmalah" is 786, a number known to muslim masses all over the world by God's will. It is beyond the scope of this article to give the mathematical patterns in the Quran, taking into consideration the Gematrical Value of Arabic letters. Only one example will be given. The total sum of the 14 Arabic letters which participate in the formation of Quranic initials in 29 suras is 693.....693 + 29 = 722 or 19 x 19 x 2.
COMPLEX NUMBERS
The use of a computer becomes mandatory in certain complex aspects of the mathematical miracle of the Quran. For example, the sum of the number of verses in each of the 114 suras plus the sum of every single verse number in all the suras is equal to 339,644 or 19 x 17,876.
If we take the same number used in getting the total of 339,644 and put them all, side by side, from the first sura to the last sura, we obtain a 12,692 digit number. The number 12,692 is divisible by 19 (19 x 668). But more importantly, the entire 12,692 digit number is also a multiple of 19.
7 1234567 286 1234....285286 200 123......5 12345 6 123456.
OVER IT IS NINETEEN (74:30)
We now know the meaning of verse 30 of sura 74. God has chosen the number nineteen as his signature on his creation - the Glorious Quran. Anyone who cares to study and verify the mathematical structure of the Quran will know with certainty that such a book can never be authored by anyone, other than by God. When this mathematical structure is taken together with the literary excellence of the Quran, one can appreciate God's assertion in the following verses in the same sura 74, that this is one of the God's great miracles.
"Absolutely, (I swear) by the moon.
"And the night as it passes.
"And the morning as it shines.
"THIS IS ONE OF THE GREAT MIRACLES." (74:32-35)
REASON FOR THE MIRACLE OF QURAN
Verse 74:31 gives five reasons for the miracle of the Quran with number 19 as the common denominator.
1. To disturb the disbelievers.
2. To convince the Christians and the Jews (that this is divine scripture).
3. To strengthen the faith of the faithful.
4. To remove all traces of doubt from the hearts of Christians, Jews, as well as the believers; and
5. To expose those who harbor doubt in their hearts, and the disbelievers; who will say, "What did God mean by this allegory?" (or "So What?").
NEW ERA IN RELIGION
With mankind having a verifiable proof, that the Quran, the Final Testament, is the unaltered word of God, we have entered a new era in religion. Verse 17:36 quoted above mandates, that we use our hearing , eyesight and brain to verify all information, including the miracle of the Quran by ourselves.
This new era also mandates that we seek proof for any religious law or practice dictated upon us. What makes the religion of Submission (Islam) so easy, is the proof, we now have, that the Quran is the unaltered and complete word of God. As submitters (Muslims) to God, we have to accept God's assertion in the Quran; that the Quran is complete, fully detailed and the only source of religious law.
